Boss Media
signs new agreement with Synot Lotto covering
continued expansion on the Czech market
After the successful pilot
project on the Czech market, Synot Lotto is
continuing to broaden its investment in
systems for centrally controlled gaming
machines.
Accordingly, the pilot project is being
carried out as planned with full-scale
implementation in the coming year. Some 500
terminals will be installed during 2006, which
will result in a total of 700 gaming machines
by year-end.
The high-technology gaming machine is designed
specifically for the Czech market. The
centrally controlled slot and casino games are
installed in gaming halls and pubs.
There are a total of about 45,000 mechanical
slot machines in the Czech Republic. Most of
these are expected to compete with new on-line
terminals in the coming years. Synot has about
one third of the total number of such machines
on the Czech market.
"This is more than just a sign that the pilot
project was a success," says Markus Holm, Vice
President of Boss Media. "It is proof that
there is continued high demand for Boss
Media's leading IVT (Interactive Video
Terminal) system. We provide high
cost-efficiency, increased central control and
sharply expanded player functions that is
adapted to local markets - as a result of
which we contribute significantly to
strengthening the operator's business."
"Synot believes that the market in Czech
Republic is nearly full when it comes to the
older versions of gambling machines and that
the future lays with the modern IVT machines.
This is confirmed by the result from the
recently finished IVT pilot project. The
signing of the contract with Boss Media AB
emphasizes Synot's position as one of the
market leaders on the Czech market and also
confirms Synot's strategy to lead the future
development of the gambling business by
bringing new independent gaming solutions to
the Czech market, says Petr Mikoaka, Synot
Lotto a.s."

Boss Media
supplies gaming system to Bonnier
Entertainment and Folkspel
The Bonnier Group's Bonnier Entertainment
business area has selected Boss Media as
supplier for its new gaming activity. Bonnier
is to launch
www.bingolotto.se through a cooperative
agreement with the Folkspel gaming company,
which is owned by Swedish sports clubs and
associations and whose activities include
TV4's BingoLotto gaming program,. With this
investment, the Bonnier Group is taking its
first step into the market for gaming that
involves money.
"We are active in the entertainment industry
and an increasing portion of households'
entertainment budget is being spent on various
forms of gaming. This makes it a natural step
for us to become involved in this industry. An
added benefit of our cooperation with Folkspel
is that it gives us the possibility to support
Swedish sports clubs and associations," says
Helena Forsell, Project Manager for
BingoLotto.se.
Under the terms of the contract, Boss Media
will supply a well-tested system for bingo
gaming on the Internet, with Bonnier and
Folkspel also gaining the possibility to
expand into other gaming products and
distribution channels over time. As a result
of the contract, Bonnier will outsource its
customer service for gaming to Boss Media.
"Proximity and stability were our criteria
when we selected Boss Media. We now have
access to a tested gaming system and proximity
to product development. If everything proceeds
according to plan, we will have, in
cooperation with Folkspel, a considerable
market share for digitally distributed gaming
within a couple of years. The key is to take
the right game to market using the right
channel. With regard to marketing of gaming
products, we have sufficient channels for this
within the Group," says Helena Forsell.
"Boss Media's extensive experience of digital
gaming solutions can be considered a guarantee
of quality," says Leif Flatow, President of
Folkspel. "We are full of confidence regarding
the launch of BingoLotto on the Net - and,
naturally, a well-functioning system is an
important requirement for success."
Bingo products are a focus area for Boss
Media, which previously was best known for its
casino and poker products. In the digital
gaming world, bingo is foreseen as the gaming
product that will attract the most new players
as a result of its softer gaming form, with
greater focus on entertainment than big
prizes.
"Bingo has the potential to be the next
mass-market product in the digital gaming
market. While casino gaming attracts men,
bingo succeeds in attracting women," says
Peter Bertilsson, President of Boss Media. |

WEBDOLLAR CURRENCY CONVERTER
WebDollar introduces a new currency converter
To make life easier and to promote credit card transactions without surprises the new system allows to know instantly how much the amount will be in your own currency. When a customer requests a transaction using a card that was issued in a country with a currency that differs from the currency used by the casino, a notice will appear advising the customer that a currency exchange will be possible. The customer can choose to make the transaction in the currency associated with the country where the card was issued or to
process the casino transaction in US dollars. The currency converter enables UK customers to use their British Solo/Switch debit cards in a casino that uses USD and EUR. The customer is given the advantage of knowing exactly how much the card issuer will debit or credit his/her account and there will be no exchange charge. The currency converter is at the moment availible to handle 31 different currencies.
